THE HEART OF THE GARDEN ROUTE
5 days, 4 nights (min 2 pax, not for under 18 yrs or pregnant ladies)

If time is short and you are looking to get the most out of your visit to the Garden Route then this is the package for you.
The package includes: mountain biking, an elephant experience, sea kayaking, Birds of Eden, Monkeyland & a wildlife experience, bungy jumping and a tree top canopy tour.

DAY 1
09h00: Depart for a mountain bike trip through Knysna’s indigenous forest where you will spend the morning absorbing the beauty that nature has to offer and listening to the calls of the Knysna Loerie. You may even be lucky enough to spot the last remaining Knysna forest elephant! Your experienced guide will tailor make the trip to suit your level of fitness and experience. All equipment and refreshments provided.

12h30: Return to your backpackers accommodation (dorm bed) in Knysna to check in, have lunch and rest.

A great way to spend the afternoon is exploring the arty village of Knysna, which is steeped in history and filled with interesting shops, restaurants and markets, all within walking distance of each other.

DAY 2
09h00: Our shuttle service will collect you for your once in a life time elephant experience at Knysna’s Elephant Park! The one hour tour will give you the opportunity to get up close and personal with these awesome creatures.

12h00: The shuttle will drop you off at your backpackers accommodation (dorm bed) in Plettenberg Bay to check in, have lunch and rest.

13h45: The shuttle will collect you for a 2 hour sea kayak trip for a whale and dolphin watching experience. Remember hats, towels and sunblock.
Note: Although dolphin and whale sightings are common throughout the year the Southern Right Whale migration season is between July and October.

16h30: Return to accommodation which is central and within walking distance of restaurants and supermarkets.

DAY 3
09h30: The shuttle leaves for Birds of Eden and Monkeyland in The Crags where you will spend time in the biggest free-flight aviary in the world, observing over 220 bird species, aswell as getting to know the monkeys in the world’s first free-roaming multi-species primate sanctuary.

12h30: A visit to Tenikwa’s Wildlife Centre for a one hour guided tour to meet some of Africa’s elusive wild cats.

16h00: Shuttle returns you to your accommodation in Plett.

DAY 4
Spend the morning having breakfast, relaxing or looking around the village of Plett.

11h00: Leave for Stormsriver Village and the Bloukrans Bridge, the highest single span arch bridge in the world, where you can experience the thrill of a lifetime by doing the world’s highest bungy jump, 216 meters above the beautiful Bloukrans River.

15h30: Leave for Tsitsikamma Backpackers accommodation (dorm bed) in Stormsriver Village where meals are available to order.

DAY 5:
09h30: Leave for a Canopy Tour which is an exhilarating and unforgettable experience of gently gliding through the forest in a harness, on steel cables, 30 meters above the forest floor. Includes a light lunch.

12h30: Our shuttle leaves to return you to Plettenberg Bay.
